Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed significant vulnerabilities in global supply chains, disrupting production networks, logistics systems, and international trade flows. Lockdowns, border restrictions, labor shortages, and sudden demand fluctuations revealed the risks associated with highly optimized, cost driven, and globally dispersed supply chain structures. In the post pandemic global economy, supply chain resilience has emerged as a strategic priority for organizations seeking stability, continuity, and long term competitiveness. the concept of supply chain resilience and its critical role in managing disruptions and uncertainty. Supply chain resilience refers to the ability of a system to anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from unexpected shocks while maintaining operational performance. The paper explores key resilience strategies, including diversification of suppliers, regionalization and nearshoring, digitalization of logistics operations, inventory flexibility, risk management frameworks, and enhanced collaboration across supply chain partners.
